Jorge Mejía

Anesthesiologist and intensivist at Fundación Valle del Lili, associate professor at ICESI university in intensive care and anesthesiology programs, where he has led neurological intensive care.

Medical degree and specialization in Bogotá, Colombia, master's degree in circulatory function in anesthesia and resuscitation at the Paris VI University, Pitié-Salpetrière Faculty.

Working in research since 2004 mainly in trauma (Crash2, Crash3 , BRAIN trial, Synapse-ICU); as well as local projects on head trauma, SAH, neuroanesthesia, major trauma and BIS monitoring. Currently he is a member of the protocol committee in the Possible study (SAH in Latam) and the GCS-NeuroCovid.

Dr. Mejía is a member of the Colombian Society of Anesthesia and Resuscitation, SCARE; Colombian Association of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care, AMCI; Latin American Brain Injury Consortium, LABIC, and Neurocritical Care Society, NCS. Immediate past-president of LABIC and current member of NCS board of directors representing South America.
