Chethan Rao

Dr. Chethan Venkatasubba Rao is the section head of Neurocritical Care and Vascular Neurology and an Associate professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Center for Space Medicine and William T Butler endowed chair at Baylor College of Medicine. He is also the Co-lead of the member sites module of the Curing coma campaign . He has authored many manuscripts in the areas of stroke and critical care neurology and neurosurgery in reputable journals including the NEJM, Lancet, Neurology, Annals of Emergency Medicine and Neurocritical Care. His main areas of clinical and research interest include disorders of consciousness, stroke, clot characteristics in acute ischemic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, cerebral edema, and outcomes in neurocritical care.
